I Will Decide Where My Car Gets Repaired.

Contrary to what may be popular belief, you have no obligation to take your vehicle to be repaired at the auto body shop recommended by your insurance company…in most cases that is.  You may take your damaged vehicle to your preferred auto body repair shop and your insurance company is STILL obligated to pay for the repairs!

You may ask don’t insurance companies know what they’re doing when they recommend a repair shop to you?  No, not necessarily.  Many insurers have ongoing contracts with auto repair shops in a certain area, and they try to steer a significant percentage of their claims toward those shops.  The repair contracts allow insurance companies to meet claims at a lower cost to them.

To them, it’s just good business...to you, it may be the difference between the complete repair that your car needs and the one that it gets…courtesy of your insurance company.  Always get what you pay for in collision repair.  Trust the 50+ years of quality workmanship and care that you get in the Louisville area from Don Embry Body Shop at 8272 Dixie Highway.

How do Auto Body Frame Machines do their Job?

Now, there’s a topic of great national interest…NOT!  When you need your car’s frame straightened you must trust the frame machine to do its job.  Frame damage occurs in roughly 50 percent of all collisions.  If the frame of your vehicle gets damaged, you'll need the help of an  experienced auto body shop with the proper equipment to restore its shape.

Exactly what is an auto body frame machine?  A frame straightening machine consists of a platform large enough to hold a car, an SUV, or pickup truck.  It also has two or three upright posts that can be rotated 360-degrees and moved along the platform perimeter to work on different areas of a vehicle frame.

When a damaged vehicle is driven up onto the platform then bolted to the rigid clamps that hold it firmly in place so it can't move forward, backward or sideways.  We want you to know how The Don Embry Body Shop of Louisville is helping to get your car back on the road in like-new conditions.  Bring or have your vehicle towed into The Don Embry Body Shop located at 8272 Dixie Highway in Louisville.
