What is Aluminum Welding?

It is a very important part of the auto body repair process in some cases.  If your auto body shop is not schooled in the art, then you had better find one that is.  Many times, a local shop will send you elsewhere for aluminum welding.  What is the point in that when you can get all of your repairs done under one roof?

The fact is, aluminum alloy is the most difficult alloy to weld.  Is it any wonder that most auto body repair shops simply don’t want to mess with it?  The first step is to clean the aluminum oxide from the surface.  Experience in this arena is an absolute must.  So, if it happens to be an integral part of the repair process ask if they can do it in-house.
