Aluminum is NOT as Forgiving.

That’s good to know, I guess.  It’s GREAT to know if you are in the auto body repair business!  Cleaning your weld surface and keeping everything you do as clean as possible is very important Taking extra steps to clean your parts as thoroughly as possible will help you make a clean and strong weld.  That’s the bottom line at our shop.

Patience is tantamount when engaging in the art of aluminum welding.  A big mistake we see that beginner aluminum welders make when learning how to weld aluminum is not waiting for the puddle to fully initiate.  You learn that the welder actually cleans the base metal before the aluminum turns molten.

Honestly, you don’t need to know any of this.  What you DO need to know is the name and location of the auto body repair shop in the Louisville area who takes aluminum welding very seriously.  The answer is The Don Embry Body Shop at 8272 Dixie Highway.  When you need us we will be there.  You can call ahead at (502) 935-1373.

Meeting the Highest Standards.

The very best auto body repair shops are committed to a complete repair through required ongoing industry education and annual third party certifications.  For example, VeriFacts performs on-site shop inspections of repair methods, materials, tools and equipment which are consistent with the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.

Some cars on the roadways of Louisville, such as Honda vehicles, are designed and engineered using specific materials that often require specific tools and equipment for proper repair.  ProFirst Certified shops are equipped and educated with the right tools and equipment to repair your Honda properly.

It’s just one of the many checks and balances we use at The Don Embry Body Shop of Louisville.  After five-and-a-half decades we take NOTHING for granted!  If you are not growing, then you are stagnating.  Trust The Don Embry Body Shop at 8272 Dixie Highway every time call us when the need arises at (502) 935-1373.

It’s One of the Miracles of Modern Auto Body Repair.

That might be the answer, but what is the question?  That would be “what is paintless dent repair”.  Dents are the result of minor automotive collisions.  It doesn’t take much impact for a mark to be left behind after a bump or accident.  A minor dent can be a major inconvenience for drivers since the repairs needed to remove the dent may be complicated and extensive.

What exactly is paintless dent removal?  It is when your vehicle experiences a dent - and instead of removing the damaged piece, installing a new stock piece and applying a fresh coat of paint to match your car’s color, our trained collision repair technicians attack the dent by using paintless dent removal.

It truly is something that our founding father, Don, could not have imagined when he opened our shop back in 1962.  A lot has evolved in those nearly six decades.  What is important to remember is that if you have any need for state-of-the-art auto body repair, please call us at The Don Embry Body Shop at (502) 935-1373 or stop by 8272 Dixie Highway in Louisville.

When is it Time for Suspension Repair?

Most drivers in the Louisville area tend to judge their vehicle's suspension system solely on its ability to provide a smooth and comfortable ride.  After even a minor accident shocks and struts may need to be repaired help you to come to a safe stop quickly, and will also assist in making sure that you have maximum control over your vehicle as you go around tight corners.

Here are some signs that suspension repair is needed –

1.  Uneven wear on the tires.

2.  Drifting.

3.  Leakage in your car’s shocks.

4.  A bumpy ride.

These and other signs are a nearly sure indication that suspension work must be done on your vehicle to keep it safely on the road!  The right choice to do that work in the Louisville area are the trained auto body and suspension repair professionals at The Don Embry Body Shop right there at 8272 Dixie Highway.  Call for an appointment at (502) 935-1373.

We’ve Come a Long Way.

Back in a day (try 1962 when we were founded) auto body repair shops fixed cars with a hammer and a torch.  Not any longer, my friends!  Collision repair technology is complex in 2020 with new ideas being incorporated all the time.  As a state of the art auto body shop in Louisville we must stay on top of them.

Here are a few of the new innovations –

1.  Aluminum welding.  In the old days it was only steel.

2.  Universal jigs and laser measuring

3.  Cold straightening…put aside the blowtorch

4.  Assist system repairs.  This includes sensors, cameras, etc.

5.  MIG brazing.  We won’t even try to explain that one.

Even though we have been proud to serve the Louisville area for well over a half-century we know that our equipment and knowledge has to be constantly updated.  At The Don Embry Body Shop we keep growing, learning, and equipping.  Visit The Don Embry Body Shop at 8272 Dixie Highway in Louisville or call (502) 935-1373.
