Perhaps the most dangerous types of road icing in our metropolitan area comes from bridges and overpasses. Here is the reason, you see… a bridge is exposed to air on all of its surfaces - on top, underneath and on its sides. Conversely, a normal road surface is only exposed to air on one side, its top surface.

As you cross a Louisville bridge and you encounter Black Ice please tap your brakes and steer in the direction of your slide. It may avoid a tow to our body shop.
